Social Services Department

Social Services Department at the Janet Pomeroy Center addresses many issues and is respondsable for a diverse array of tasks.

Of primary importance is our interaction with the partipants and consumers. We are avaliable to respond to their points of view, needs and problems, and act as liaison between social workers, care providers, agencies and families.

Social Service Department staff includes license social workers and Respite Supervisor/Social Services Coordinator. Social Services contribute to the following major aspects of Center operations.

Respite Care Services

The Center is one of only a few organizations in Northern California offering weekend overnight respite care, and a Saturday Respite program is available for ages five and up. The programs provides a wide range of recreation activities while giving families or caretakers and persons with a disability time to rejuvenate and rest.
